So it’s safe to say neon will be a trend to try right now because of its more recent popularity. I’ve seen a number of designers, stylish celebrities, and fashion enthusiasts alike embrace this striking color trend. Designers, such as Jeremy Scott and Prabal Gurung, have created full ensembles featuring blazing oranges, bubblegum pinks, and luminescent greens. Fast fashion brands have also gravitated to the trend, creating full collections with neon colors being the focal point of their designs.

We are readily prepared for bright hues to be fused with street wear, suiting, and evening wear once again in the high fashion world this year. But how do we bring the trend to our daily wardrobe? Let me show you some surefire ways to integrate the neon trend into your closet.

If you’re anything like me, neon colors are ones you associate with the 80’s and decade themed events. I’ve only more recently seen a few zesty neon garments and looks that have intrigued my desire to take the trend on myself. So below I’ve provided a few simple tips and inspirational looks featuring the neon color trend.

Do striking neon outerwear and pair it with black to make the neon color(s) the focal point of your look.

Do make use of a neon accessory to pull your entire look together, even when the color is featured in the pieces you’re wearing.

Do a neon top or bottom with more muted hues to color block your outfit.

The purpose of a statement shoe is to fuse your look together while accentuating your shoes. Pairing an intricate shoe with your outfit enhances your garments and gives your look distinctiveness. The statement shoes you wear become the focal point for your outfit and will certainly elevate your ensemble.

An elaborate shoe gives you a plethora of outfit options. Additionally, statement shoes allow you to effortlessly put your look together. Injecting statement shoes within your wardrobe is a great investment. Below you’ll see the same shoes and jeans used for 3 different looks with different tops.

A major benefit of owning a few statement shoes is that it makes selecting looks much easier. Your outfit does not have to include outrageous, larger than life, garments. You can literally rock a tee and jean combo paired with an exaggerated shoe, and your outfit will pop. Statement shoes make choosing an outfit less complicated.

Statement shoes are vital to your wardrobe. Not only do they add versatility, they simplify building your look. Step outside of your usual shoe choices and opt for a statement shoe. It’s okay to be a bit over the top every once in a while!

Holiday Style: What to Wear for the Holiday Festivities

‘Tis the season! The holidays are here and it’s time to jazz it up for all the Christmas gatherings and parties this year. Don’t limit yourself to ugly Christmas sweaters and Santa hats. Let’s explore some different chic outfit ideas to wear for your special holiday event.

If you’re attending a holiday office party, you can’t go wrong if you opt for an a-line, midi, or fit and flare dress. A two piece suit would also be a great choice for this type of event. I suggest keeping your look tasteful because you’re still among colleagues. Don’t show too much skin and consider your company’s dress code for the event. Also keep in mind the colors and textures of your garments when it comes to outfit selection. You want your look to reflect the holiday theme.

If you want to dress up but you plan to lounge around on that day, choose a sweater dress, a cardigan with jeans paired with boots, or a chunky sweater paired with trousers or a skirt.

Dress It Up with Snake Print

Snake print is a hot ‘fashion do’ trend for this fall and winter. Versatile, edgy, and fashion forward, snake print is what you should be wearing this season.

In general, animal prints have had a strong year in fashion this season. One of the prints that took over the fashion world this year was snake print! Powerhouse fashion designers and fast fashion brands have included it in their 2018 collections and I must say, I’m somewhat obsessed. It has dethroned leopard print as the “go-to” print for us fashion girls and boys. Snake print is as equally quintessential as leopard. Whether you are wearing a snake print garment or fashion accessory, it’ll spice up your look!

I strongly suggest you pick a few snake print pieces for your closet. Accessories and shoes in this print are perfect for adding a “pop of print” to your look. Don’t be afraid to pull out all the stops with a snake print dress, trench coat, top, or pants! You will definitely stand out in a crowd and make the perfect statement with any look that involves this print. There’s no need to overthink how to rock the snake print trend. Below are a few inspirational looks curated by me to show you ways to wear  snake print.
